DESCRIPTIVE TEXT

(Teks Deskripsi)

Descriptive Text adalah teks yang digunakan untuk menggambarkan seseorang, tempat, hewan, atau benda secara jelas sehingga pembaca dapat membayangkannya.

Tujuan Descriptive Text adalah untuk:
Mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan sesuatu secara detail dan jelas.

Struktur Descriptive Text

  1. Identification
    Bagian yang memperkenalkan objek yang akan dideskripsikan.

  2. Description
    Bagian yang menjelaskan ciri-ciri, sifat, atau keadaan objek secara rinci.

 Ciri-ciri Kebahasaan (Language Features)

  1. Menggunakan Simple Present Tense

  2. Menggunakan kata sifat (Adjective)

  3. Menggunakan kata kerja to be (is, am, are)

  4. Menggunakan kata benda (Noun)

  5. Fokus pada satu objek tertentu

 Rumus Simple Present Tense dalam Descriptive Text

Positive:
Subject + to be + adjective / noun

Contoh:

  • She is beautiful

  • The school is big

Negative:
Subject + to be + not

Contoh:

  • She is not lazy

Interrogative:
To be + subject ?

Contoh:

  • Is she kind?

Contoh Kata Sifat (Adjective)

  • Beautiful = Cantik

  • Handsome = Tampan

  • Big = Besar

  • Small = Kecil

  • Clean = Bersih

  • Smart = Pintar

  • Friendly = Ramah

  • Tall = Tinggi

  • Short = Pendek

  • Kind = Baik hati
