COMMAND / IMPERATIVE (Kalimat Perintah)

🔹 1. Pengertian Command

Command (Imperative Sentence) adalah kalimat yang digunakan untuk:

• Memberi perintah

• Memberi instruksi

• Memberi larangan

• Memberi ajakan

🔹 2. Ciri-Ciri Kalimat Command

✅ Menggunakan kata kerja bentuk pertama (Verb 1)
✅ Tidak memakai subjek (You dipahami tapi tidak ditulis)
✅ Diakhiri tanda titik (.) atau tanda seru (!)

📌 Pola dasar:

Verb 1 + Object

Contoh:

• Open the door.

• Close your book.

• Sit down.

🔹 3. Jenis-Jenis Command

🟢 A. Perintah (Positive Command)

Digunakan untuk menyuruh seseorang melakukan sesuatu.

Rumus:

Verb 1 + Object

Contoh:

• Turn on the lamp.

• Read the text carefully.

• Listen to the teacher.

• Wash your hands.

🔴 B. Larangan (Negative Command)

Digunakan untuk melarang seseorang melakukan sesuatu.

Rumus:

Do not (Don't) + Verb 1

Contoh:

• Don’t be noisy.

• Don’t run in the classroom.

• Don’t open the window.

• Do not touch that!

🔵 C. Ajakan (Let’s)

Digunakan untuk mengajak orang lain melakukan sesuatu bersama.

Rumus:

Let’s + Verb 1

Contoh:

• Let’s study together.

• Let’s clean the classroom.

• Let’s go to the library.

🟣 D. Perintah Halus (Polite Command)

Agar terdengar lebih sopan, tambahkan please.

Pola:

• Please + Verb 1

• Verb 1 + Object + please

Contoh:

• Please sit down.

• Open your book, please.

• Please help me.

🔹 4. Command dengan “Be”

Kalimat perintah juga bisa memakai Be untuk menyuruh seseorang bersikap tertentu.

Contoh:

• Be quiet.

• Be careful.

• Be honest.

• Be patient.
